So this spring we've had a VERY wet May and June. One day... when there was a break in the rain, I let Amelia play in the puddles. Here's what I got:

So this was fun...
The other night I was lying on the couch watching TV when Munchkin #2 decided to do some aerobics... or maybe it was zoomba classes.



So I went to the doctor this past Tuesday. I had to see a diabetes nutritionist because my second hour blood draw came back 5 points too high. Five points! In any case, it could be worse. I just have to modify my diet - just count the carbs. Eh, it's only for another two months, so it will be just fine. I know I'm okay with processing food... I mean look at me! LOL.

I go back in on Wednesday for an ultrasound. I sweet talked my doctor in ordering me another one! :) I am so devious. Then I go in for my next OB appointment on July 8... every two weeks!!

Camping!

We're back from camping and we had a great Father's Day weekend.

Failure!

I took my one hour glucose test on Tuesday. I found out Wednesday I failed it. Thursday I go in for the three hour test. Bleh.

My number was 158 and the doctor wants it under 135.

Yes, I am grumbling. Didn't really want to spend three hours sitting in a lab waiting room while the vampires "suck" my blood.

2 Year Check up

Just wanted to hop on really quickly. Took Amelia last week to her 24 month check up. She's doing great! She's 33.5", 23 pounds 11 ounces and has a head circumference of 49 cm. She got two shots... I forgot which ones... one was a prevnar added booster, I know that for sure. She doesn't like her doctor, but loves mine!

On another note... there's no more green bedroom. I have started fixing up Amelia's new room. Hopefully I'll complete it by mid July so she can move in - in the smack dab middle of the summer with the sun coming in and the heat index high (room faces due west). LOL...

Happy 2nd Birthday, Munchkin!

Our sweet little Amelia is two years old! Yikes! I can't believe it! Two short years ago, I was in the hospital holding my precious little baby who I had dreamed about for years. Now she's a lean, mean, running machine pushing ALL of Mommy and Daddy's "buttons." But no matter what, she's a sweet little girl.

We had a great little birthday party for her yesterday. Grandma, Grandpa, MoMo, Faux Pa, Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Jack, Uncle Chris, Aunt Jenny, Cousin Audry, Troy, Jen, Kendyl, Auntie Tracey and Uncle Eugene all made it out. We had a BBQ in the rain (thank goodness for a tent) and had delicious food, cake and ice cream. Amelia had fun playing with her friends and was barely seen because she was so busy.

She made out like a bandit... a highlight is the new toy box Grandpa Jack made for her. I will have to take a picture of it and post it. Tell me if we should stain it or just put a varnish on it. In addition, she got a swing, booster seat, books, washable art supplies, a sleeping bag, more books, clothes, cars, an Elmo toddler bed and bedding, toys, toys and more toys. :)
