Life

Life is way too short. In some cases it's over before it truly begins.

Thoughts and prayers go out to my family right now who are dealing with an unexpected loss at a time when we should be celebrating. The grieving will begin.... followed by healing. Please say a little prayer for my step-sister who lost her baby girl at 37 weeks.

Randoms...

Here are a few pictures we snapped...

We finally put away the baby swing... and now Elaina is happily playing in her exersaucer. Here's one of the many priceless expressions.

This was taken on her 6 month birthday. I just love the expression!

And here's Amelia wearing a beautiful knitted sweater. The sweater used to be mine and was knitted by my grandmother, Jejja, or Amelia's great grandmother. She loved wearing it!

Snow

A few weeks ago we had our first measurable snow that Amelia and Elaina could enjoy. It melted really quickly, so we had to bundle up the kids really fast. The other times it snowed, it snowed in the middle of the night and the babes were all in bed.

Enjoy!

Six Months!

Elaina had her 6 month well check up. She's doing really well. She measured 25" (although, I measured her again that night and she was 25.75" or 26") and is 15 pounds, 12 ounces. The doctor thinks she's doing great! She also has two bottom teeth and is working on the top ones. She's a drooling and munching machine!

Elaina is now on solids... she's had biscuits, whole wheat bread, peas, corn, roast beef, ground beef, chicken and tortillas. I'm sure that she's had more than that, but that's all I can remember right now. We're not doing jar baby food, as that's kind of gross. She's rejected the rice cereal now. So... I guess it's real people food, eh?

Amelia continues to be the patient little sister. She's always trying to help me and daddy. She's currently on an "anymore" kick. For example: "I don't want to read anymore" or "I don't want you to sing anymore." Basically just put the word "anymore" at the end of a sentence and you've got her "kick."

Here's the photo montage of Elaina:
