Amelia's 2009 Christmas

Sorry for the long delay... the holidays and such.

Amelia made out like a bandit - again - this year. Between her grandparents, mommy and daddy and Santa... she won't be needing anything for the next 6 months. Highlights of her haul: a radio flyer tricycle, new carseat, Leapfrog learning wand/books, clothes, and Little People "village" (barn, garage, dollhouse...). There's tons more, but it would take forever to write them all down and I have so little time to update the blog!

So without further ado... here's the slideshow of Amelia.
The first pictures are from our trip to see Santa. Many of you saw the end result. The second is our Christmas eve with Brad's family and the third part is Christmas at home. There's not many pictures of either since it was just an orgy of opening up packages.

Getting Amelia to pay attention was complete chaos. At times, we had her opening up gifts while sitting on her trike. :)

Until next time...

PS Happy 1st Birthday Sean!

Gearing up...

It's been awhile... but Santa's workshop is gearing up for Christmas. Today, we elves, braved the wonderful world of ToysRUs. Santa is bringing Amelia a new Elmo and Cookie Monster doll. When we were in the check out line, Amelia screamed for Elmo and Cookie. Needless to say, I turned her around and walked her by the electronics. She forgot all about them going in the sack.

I promise to get more stuff updated... but until then... you'll have to live with what little I have posted!

Amelia Growth

As you may have read, Amelia had a huge growth spurt in the last 3 months, growing nearly 3 inches. I also think her hair grew that amount! Here's the latest picture show of her growth next to the bear. It's getting kinda hard to get her to sit still for 60 seconds. She didn't smile, but she was distracted watching Sprout.

Trip to the Zoo

Amelia went to the zoo for the first time when she was visiting MoMo and Faux Pa in Arizona. She was quite interested in the snakes, peacock and rooster. She like the tiger, but when it started to roar and make noise, she got a little frightened. Luckily Daddy was there to protect her! These are the pictures we took! Enjoy.

A little late

Here are a few videos of Amelia. Sorry it's a little late - but as they say - better late than never!

P.S. Amelia says welcome to the world, Kell! Congrats, Monty!

I'm a growing girl!

I am growing like a weed!

Amelia went in for her 18m check up. Her head is in the 90th percentile at 48 cm. Her weight is 21 pounds, 2 ounces (10th). And she's 31.75" tall (50th)! She had a major growth spurt because her 15m check up she was 19 pounds 11 oz. and 29.5" tall. Holy cow!

More to come... I promise!

More pictures!

Here are some pictures of our trip to Prescott, AZ for Thanksgiving.

We spent nearly a full week there. On our first day, Brad went golfing with Vern, while the girls hung out and went shopping at Costco! Thursday was, of course Thanksgiving. Yum! Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and more! Friday we ventured out to do a little Black Friday shopping. We also went to see a light show. On Saturday we went into Phoenix to meet up with Uncle Paul, Aunt Lorraine and cousin Morgan with her two kids, Hailee and Jaxon. Afterwards, we went into the town square and saw the very end of the Parade of Lights. Sunday we went and saw the Gingerbread house display at the casino. Afterwards, we took Amelia to the zoo! And then on Monday, we left to fly home.

More to come (video)!
