She's here!

I am sure most of you know that we have expanded from a family of three to a family of four.

Elaina Evelyn Rake entered this world - very fast - on August 30, 2010 at 1:43 am. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 18.5". Total time for labor and delivery - less than four hours!

We are all doing well and getting into our routine at home. Amelia is adjusting really well. We are trying to divide our time equally between the two girls. Emmy is doing well, too, as this is her second time around.

Papa's Visit

Papa stayed in Portland last week... here are a few pictures. It took a day for Amelia to warm up to Papa, but she had a blast!

Munchkin #2 Update

Had my 36w appointment on Thursday. Fundal height 35.5cm, now starting to lose weight (1/2 pound from two weeks ago), baby's head is deep in my pelvis and there's no chance of her being breech (phew!) and it could be any day now! Been having BH contractions... and they come at regular intervals. House is all set up now and ready to go! Next appointment Tuesday!

Sprinkle!

Two weekends ago, my mom and BFF, Jen, threw me a Baby Sprinkle. Here are the pictures! Thanks for a great sprinkle and thanks to Becky who took the pictures!

A new pool!

Since Amelia's whale pool got a hole in it, we decided to get her a new one. This one is exactly like her cousin Audry's. She had a great time in it.
















On the Munchkin #2 front... went to the doctor last Wednesday. My fundal height is measuring 31.5 cm (at 32w). I only gained 20 pounds so far total for the pregnancy. My doctor doesn't think I am going to make it until September 12! Next appointment... August 3... our anniversary! 8 years! Wowsers.
