Amelia & Snow!!! (video & pics)

Today we had our first dousing of snow! We didn't get a lot, but what we did get we made the most of it. After staring at the snow through the window with Daddy, we bundled her up to take her outside. Dressed in her pants, socks, shoes, beanie hat, and fake fur lined jacket with hood, all three of us braved the big fluffy flakes. Amelia wasn't too sure about the snow at first, but after a few seconds, she enjoyed it, enough to smile and actually take an interest in it. It was a much better reception than when she first stuck her toes in the Pacific Ocean back in August. We sent a few pictures in to KATU TV because our friend, Tracey, is a EP there. Apparently, her picture may have made it somewhere on the news during their snow coverage. We think it's in the 6:30pm newscast in a montage. We were out because we had a progressive dinner to go to. In any case, after about 7 minutes in the elements (snow and wind), we hoofed it back inside to dry off and get warm. Amelia's cloth shoes made it all right, no water seeping through to the sock. We ditched the pants she was wearing and threw them in the dryer to warm and dry them. And it was all done. Of course we got it on video and on camera video. Scroll down to see the video and the pictures. No we are bracing for high temperatures in the mid 20s and lows in the teens. Not to mention wind chills in the -5 area. We are going to bundle up!

Glad your romp in the snow was lots of fun!! But it's also a lot of fun to stay inside and sip hot cocoa (or in A's case, a nice warm bottle of milk!)

How fun and she is so cute. I am jealous, we don't get much if any snow in SC. Every year I hope we get one good snow that stays around longer than a few hours. I hope to get at least one good snow this year!
